Tampa Swimmers Abundant on Scholar All-America Teams
Both teams recognized for academic success.
NORFOLK, Va. - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has announced the 688 teams that have earned the distinction of Scholar All-America team for the Fall 2017 semester, including both University of Tampa teams. The teams represent 430 institutions from across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Divisions. To earn the honor, teams were required to post a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the Fall Semester.
Tampa's men posted a GPA of 3.14, while the women came in at 3.46 in the fall semester. The Spartans have also enjoyed success in competition, as both teams are nationally ranked. The Spartans women are No. 5 in the nation as the men are No. 17.
UT returns to action at the 2018 Sunshine State Conference Championships on February 22-25 at the Clearwater Aquatic Center.
