BOCA RATON, Fla. – The University of Tampa tennis team was defeated by a 9-0 score against No. 2 Lynn University in a Sunshine State Conference road meet.

• The Fighting Knights held UT to just three games as they took all three doubles events.
• Lynn also won all six singles contests.
• The nation's second-ranked team won a pair of singles matches by scores of 6-0, 6-0.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

• This marks the sixth match of the season for Tampa against a ranked opponent.
• Maddie Stephens leads the way with 12 singles wins as she is 12-4 on the season. The sophomore ranks No. 14 in school history with 23 career singles wins.
• Lilley Nice and Ava Sowell are each 11-4 in their freshman campaigns.
• Nice and Stephens are 13-3 from their number two doubles position.
• Danielle Beyes and Sowell are 12-3 at three doubles.
• Emily Hewland ranks seventh in program history with 25 doubles victories.

UP NEXT: Tampa meets another top opponent on Thursday at 4 p.m., when it travels to Winter Park, Fla., to meet No. 27 Rollins.
