Doubles Play Lifts Tennis Over Eagles
Freshman Corbin Dorsey won in both singles and doubles.
TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa tennis team moved above .500 in Sunshine State Conference play with a victory over Embry-Riddle University.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

- The Spartans started strong with a sweep in doubles action.
- ERAU won four of the six singles events, though Tampa took the match with two singles victories.
- The top doubles group of Caroline Lozo and Corbin Dorsey prevailed 8-4.
- At number two doubles, Vanina Iordanova and Maddie Stephens won by an 8-5 tally.
- Lilley Nice and Gianna Pinasco gave the Spartans a doubles sweep with an 8-6 win.
- Dorsey also turned in a win from her number five singles spot with a 6-4, 6-3 showing.
- At number six singles, Danielle Beyes won the third set by a 6-0 score to clinch the Spartan victory.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Tampa is now a combined 15-8 in doubles matches this season.
