Tampa drops closely-contested conference tilt with NSU.
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The University of Tampa tennis team fell by a 5-4 score to Nova Southeastern University on Saturday morning.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:
Final: Nova Southeastern Sharks 5, Tampa Spartans 4
Records: Tampa (5-3, 3-3 SSC), Nova Southeastern (3-4, 1-2 SSC)

- The Sharks took two of three doubles matches by respective scores of 8-3, 8-4 at number one and two. UT took the three match 8-5.
- The teams split the singles matches with Tampa winning at four, five and six.
- Lilley Nice and Emily Hewland had the win at three doubles.
- Nice also won her number-four singles match.
- Freshmen Corbin Dorsey and Amanda Baxter were victorious in the number five and six contests.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Tampa is now a combined 22-13 in doubles matches this season.
UP NEXT:
The Spartans will spend spring break in Texas, facing three NCAA Division foes including St. Edward's on Tuesday, Texas A&M-Kingsville on Wednesday and No. 19 Tarleton State on Thursday.
