Tampa Wins Fourth Straight
Spartans take victory over a regionally-ranked opponent
ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Tampa tennis team won its fourth straight match in a neutral site matchup with West Virginia State University

- Tampa won the number two and three doubles events.
- The Spartans continued to win the two, three, four and six singles matches.
- The two doubles team of Maddie Stephens and Vanina Iordanova won 8-1.
- Lilley Nice and Emily Hewland blanked their three-doubles opponents, 8-0.
- Iordanova took a 6-1, 6-1 win at two singles.
- The three singles match went to Nice by a score of 6-2, 6-2.
- Freshman Corbin Dorsey won at four, 6-0, 6-2.
- Gianna Pinasco was victorious at six by straight-set scores of 6-1, 6-1.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Both teams are regionally-ranked, with UT No. 9 and West Virginia State No. 3 in their respective regions.
- Tampa has now won four consecutive matches.
- The nine victories for UT is the most since 2015 when they were 10-9.
