Spartans Take Fifth Straight Win on Friday
UT registers 6-3 victory over in-state opponent.
TAMPA, Fla. – The No. 35 University of Tampa tennis team won its fifth straight match in a meeting with Broward College on Friday afternoon.

- Tampa won the number one and three doubles events.
- The Spartans continued to win the three, four, five and six singles matches.
- The top doubles team of Danielle Beyes and Corbin Dorsey won 9-8 with a 7-3 tiebreak win.
- Lilley Nice and Emily Hewland won their three-doubles contest by a score of 8-6.
- The three singles match went to Nice by a score of 7-5, 7-5.
- Freshman Dorsey won at four, 6-4, 6-0.
- Beyes won at five singles by straight-set scores of 6-1, 6-1.
- Gianna Pinasco was victorious at six by straight-set scores of 6-0, 6-1.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Tampa has now won five consecutive matches.
- The 10 victories for UT is the most since 2015 when they were 10-9.
