No. 9 Lions Too Much for Spartans
Gianna Pinasco was victorious in singles action for Tampa.
ST. LEO, Fla. – The No. 25 University of Tampa tennis team fell by a 7-2 score in a Sunshine State Conference matchup with No. 9 Saint Leo University.

- Tampa won the number two doubles contest as the Lions took two-of-three.
- The lone Spartan singles victory came at the number-six spot.
- The number two doubles team of Maddie Stephens and Vanina Iordanova rallied to a 9-7 win.
- Gianna Pinasco had the other UT victory as she played to a six-singles win by scores of 6-3, 6-3.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Tampa had its five-match winning streak snapped.
- Number-one singles player Caroline Lozo missed her fifth straight match.
