Spartans Fall in Regular Season Finale
No. 21 Rollins plays to victory over No. 32 UT.
TAMPA, Fla. – The No. 32 University of Tampa tennis team completed its regular season on Thursday afternoon as it fell to visiting Rollins College.

- Tampa grabbed the lead at the conclusion of doubles play as the Spartans took two of three.
- Rollins claimed five of the six singles events.
- The UT number-one doubles duo of Caroline Lozo and Corbin Dorsey won 8-4 over No. 17 ranked Fabiana Vitanza and Alexandra Borg.
- The three doubles tandem of Lilley Nice and senior Emily Hewland also won by a score of 8-4.
- Tampa's lone singles win came at number five as Dorsey played to a 6-1, 6-1 triumph.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Lozo returned to action after sitting out seven straight matches due to an injury.
- This marks the seventh ranked opponent Tampa has played in 2018.
- The doubles victory by Hewland marked the 38th of her career, moving her into fourth on the all-time list.
- With 17 singles victories this season, Dorsey is one shy of UT's single-season record that is held by Lindsay Nochowicz (2013) and Lauren Hewett (2013).

Tampa has secured a spot in the 2018 Sunshine State Conference Championships, which will be held April 19-21 at IMG Academy in Bradenton.
