Spartans Take First of Four Matches at Hilton Head

TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa tennis team began competition at the Spring Tennis Fest, edging Tiffin University by a 4-3 tally.

Series History: Saturday marked the first-ever meeting between the NCAA Division II opponents.

• Tampa won at both two and three doubles, by respective scores of 7-5 and 6-3.
• The Dragons took the number one doubles match, 7-5.
• There was a 3-3 split in singles play, with the Spartans winning on the one, two and four courts.
