Spartans Fifth at USF Invite

TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's cross country team concluded its regular season with a fifth-place effort at the University of South Florida Invitational.

• Aislinn Sroczynski | 8th overall, 21:07.29

• Alexa Fotopoulos | 15th overall, 21:32.45

• Natalie Cortes | 19th overall, 22:08.54

• Sara Curran | 25th overall, 22:23.01

• Mollie Pierson | 32nd overall, 22:48.05

OTHER NOTABLES:
• UT sent five members of its "B" team to the race.

• Sroczynski led Tampa for the first time this season, while also running to her first top-10 finish.

• Fotopoulos and Cortes placed in the top-20 for the first time in their respective careers.

• Rollins was the only other Sunshine State Conference opponent at the race, as the Tars finished eighth.

UP NEXT:
With the regular season complete, the Spartans will travel to Melbourne on October 22 for the 2016 Sunshine State Conference Championships. The women's race will start at 8:30 a.m.
