Zoe Jarvis Headlines List of Spartans on All-SSC Team
Pair of Spartan freshmen honored by league.
MELBOURNE, Fla. – The University of Tampa had a pair of runners named all-Sunshine State Conference as Zoe Jarvis and Monika Brill were recognized. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University women's cross country is awarded six All-SSC honors after capturing the first Sunshine State Conference championship in the school's history. In total, 14 student-athletes were named to the 2017 All-SSC Women's Cross Country Teams.
Jarvis, a freshman from Tampa, has been the top UT finisher in all six races of 2017. She most recently finished seventh overall at the SSC Championships. As a freshman, she has finished in the top five in five races, including a season-best second-place finish at the Florida State Invitational.
Brill, a freshman from Perkaise, Pa., was 12th overall and the second UT runner to cross the finish line at the SSC Championships. She was second among all Spartans in three races and finished in the team's top-five in all six races. She also finished third overall at the FSU Invite.
SSC Runner, Freshman, and Coach of the Year awards are voted upon by league coaches. Runners who finish Top-14 at the 2017 SSC Women's Cross Country Championship earn All-SSC status, with the first seven finishers making the All-SSC First Team. The 2017 championship took place on October 21st at the South County Regional Park in Boca Raton.

Colett Rampf of Saint Leo University is named Sunshine State Conference Runner of the Year for an unprecedented fourth consecutive year. Rampf, a senior from Premnitz, Germany, becomes is the first SSC student-athlete to win a Runner, Swimmer, or Player of the Year award four times. Rampf is undefeated in all NCAA Division II competition this year, including the 2017 SSC Championship where she claimed her fourth straight title.
Mike Rosolino of Embry-Riddle has been named SSC Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year by his peers. Rosolino led the Eagles to the 2017 SSC Women's Cross Country team title during its first year of eligibility. ERAU placed two runners in the Top-5 and five within the Top-15 to win the championship.
Florida Tech boasts Lia Hanus as Freshman of the Year. Hanus' fifth-place finish at the 2017 championship was the highest on Florida Tech and among Freshman. Hanus becomes the first women's runner from Florida Tech to be named Freshman of the Year and the second to win an SSC individual award1.
Along with Rampf, Saint Leo teammates Alyssa Bayliff, Laura Tobin, and Lauren Csubak repeat as All-SSC winners. Bayliff earns accolades for a third consecutive year, while Tobin and Cubak repeat for the second year.
