Logan Wells Named SSC Coach of the Year as 6 Spartan Runners Honored
ORLANDO, Fla. – Fourteen student-athletes are named to Sunshine State Conference Women's Cross Country All-Conference Teams following the 2025 conference championship. After capturing its 18th league title, Tampa earned six All-SSC honors, including two first-team nods.
League coaches voted for Runner, Freshman, and Coach of the Year awards, while runners who finish Top-14 at the 2025 SSC Women's Cross Country Championship earn All-SSC status. Tampa hosted this year's championship at Holloway Park in Lakeland on October 25th.

On October 23rd, conference coaches selected Jillian Thorning and Jordan Stygar from Nova Southeastern as Runner of the Year and Freshman of the Year, respectively. For more information on these awards, visit the following link.
Tampa's Logan Wells is voted Coach of the Year by his peers after delivering the second SSC title of his tenure. The Spartans won the conference championship after runners finished 2-7-8-10-12, earning 39 points to edge the field by two points. Tampa also finished first among nine teams at the Swan City Classic. In larger meets this season, they finished third of 14 at Hoka Nights of Thunder, fifth of 36 as FSU's invite, and seventh of 36 at the Lewis Crossover. Wells remains the second Spartan head coach to win the award.
Nova Southeastern's Leena Saidi highlights the repeat All-SSC honorees with her third straight All-Conference honor. NSU's Thorning and Tampa's Lindsey Volkman repeat as First Team honorees from 2024, with Thorning also receiving Runner of the Year nods in 2025 and 2024. Taylor Guthrie from Tampa and Taylor Roth from Embry-Riddle repeat as Second Team honorees during their careers, while Dominyka Petraskaite from Palm Beach Atlantic rounds out the repeat All-SSC winners following a First Team honor last season.
