Bio

Gary Rapp was a four-year letterman (1964-1967) who played on coach Sam Bailey's 1965 6-2-1 team that defeated No. 2-ranked University of Maine 2-0. He finished 11th nationally in NCAA pass receiving in 1966 while establishing a single-season school record with 56 receptions, 671 yards and 5 TDs. He established a UT record in career receiving with 106 receptions, 1,325 yards (12.5 yard avg.) and 13 TDs. He also received the press box Gold Helmet award for outstanding offensive back (1966). Rapp served at the team captain in the 1967 season and was also elected to the Florida Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame (2004).
