Beach Sweeps Lions and Mocs on Senior Day
TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa Beach Volleyball team swept both St. Leo and Florida Southern Wednesday afternoon, as they honored four of their seniors, Danielle Bierman, Kenzie Erickson, Jordan Duffy, and Taylor George.
Dual 1:
The Spartans tamed the St. Leo Lions in the first match of the day. In the one, three, and five positions Tampa dominated with ease, winning each in straight sets. In the second position, UT narrowly dropped the second set, but battled back to earn the win. Similarly, in the four position, Tampa would drop their first set, but remain unbroken in earning the win back in sets 2 and 3.

Dual 2:
Tampa would continue their dominating day by sweeping Florida Southern. Every Tampa duo would win outright in two sets with the exception of the five position. Kiersten Anderson and Taylor George in the five position barely dropped their first set, but would continue on to secure their win with the remaining two sets.

The Spartans will return to action this Friday, April 2 at 11:00am against Florida Gulf Coast in the Florida Atlantic Beach Bash in Paradise. They will go on to play Florida Atlantic later that evening, and continue with competition against Palm Beach Atlantic and North Florida on Saturday.
