Tampa Baseball Announces Meeting Info for JV Tryouts
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa baseball program has announced that it will hold a meeting for those interested in trying out for the JV team on Thursday, August 27 at 4:30 p.m., at the UT Baseball Field.
This will be regarding the lone tryout for the JV baseball team in the 2020-21 school year, and is open to students enrolled full-time at UT in the fall semester. The UT Baseball Field is located at the corner of North Blvd., and Cass Street.
All new and returning JV players must attend this meeting in order to participate for tryouts. The meeting will take place in the stands at the baseball field, and all attendees will be asked to socially distance from others at all times during this meeting.
Prior to the tryout, all students need to have a copy of their UT Spartan Card and must have a copy of a physical dated within 6 months of the tryout date. If it is not in this time frame, you will not be permitted to tryout due to NCAA rules. Students will be asked to provide the required documentation to Marc Cianci in the UT Compliance Department. Students will also need to sign a sickle cell waiver and assumption of risk form.
Without proof of a 2020 Fall semester UT Spartan Card, copy of physical taken within 6 months of the tryout and completed sickle cell waiver and assumption of risk forms, you cannot participate in the tryout.
If any student planning to tryout has a video, please send to Jose Jimenez.
