Tampa Ranked 16th In Latest NABC Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The University of Tampa men's basketball team moved down four spots in the NABC/Division II men's basketball rankings, coming in at No. 16 in Tuesday's release.
Last week, the Spartans were No. 12 as this is the fourth consecutive week that Tampa has appeared in the national poll.
Head coach Richard Schmidt's Spartans are coming off an 86-78 overtime victory at Nova Southeastern University on Saturday. UT suffered its first defeat of the season, snapping its school record 16-game winning streak versus Florida Southern College on Wednesday.
UT is back in action on Wednesday in Melbourne, Fla., as it faces Florida Tech at 7:30 p.m. The Spartans finish the week on Saturday at home against Barry University in a 7:30 p.m. contest.
The NCAA is also set to release its first regional rankings of the 2010-11 season on Wednesday.
