Amgad Salah Named UPSL National Player of Week
LOS ANGELES – OFC Barca forward and current University of Tampa men's soccer player Amgad Salah has been selected UPSL National Player of the Week.
A native of Debrecen, Hungary, Salah scored all three goals in a 3-0 victory in a UPSL 2020 Spring Season Florida Central Division I game on Saturday, June 20. Salah played 20 minutes for OFC Barca (1-0-0 overall).
Salah was the 2017-18 Reserves Players Player of the Year and Golden Boot winner (19 goals) while playing for St. Helens Town AFC reserves in England.
In two years as a Spartan, Salah has appeared in 23 career games while totaling four goals and two assists. He is coming off a sophomore campaign where he started five matches for head coach Adrian Bush.
The UPSL National Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by members of the league and journalists covering the UPSL, and decided by the fans via Twitter poll.

The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 300 teams nationwide. The UPSL is the largest Pro Development League in North America. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated.
UPSL teams are eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the league's affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
