Tampa Men's Soccer Rises to No. 6 Ahead of Critical Conference Tilt This Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The University of Tampa men's soccer team moved up three spots in the United Soccer Coaches Division II national rankings at No. 6. Head coach Adrian Bush's Spartans have now spent four straight weeks in the national rankings, including three of the last four in the top-10.
The Spartans are coming off a 1-1 tie against No. 21 Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday, and are 5-0-2 on the season. Tampa is also 1-0-1 in the Sunshine State Conference, a league that features five schools in the top-25. Lynn University is No. 1, joined by UT, No. 16 Nova Southeastern, No. 19 Palm Beach Atlantic, and No. 22 Florida Tech.
No stranger to the national rankings under head coach Adrian Bush, the Spartans last appeared in the top-10 in 2021. The No. 6 ranking represents the highest ranking for Tampa since being No. 5 to open the 2010 season.
The Spartans will face a pair of SSC opponents this week, beginning with a matchup at Rollins on Wednesday. On Saturday, Tampa will host defending national champion and No. 1 Lynn on Saturday at Pepin Stadium.
