Jacob Hamlin Presented as the SSC Swimmer of the Week

TAMPA, Fla. - University of Tampa men's swimmer Jacob Hamlin has been announced as the Sunshine State Conference Swimmer of the Week following a matchup with Nova Southeastern on Saturday.

Hamlin, a junior from Orlando, Fla., was the top swimmer in Tampa's dual meet win at Nova Southeastern last week. The Orlando native earned two NCAA D2 "B" cuts with wins in the 200 free (1:35.95) and 500 free (4:21.11). Both marks currently rank No. 1 in NCAA Division II this season. The weekly award is the third of his career.

Sunshine State Conference Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their regular season performances during the week of October 27 - November 2, 2025. Athletic Communication Directors of member institutions nominate athletes.
