HOW IT HAPPENED:
TOP 17TH | Ansley Casillas, a freshman from Tennessee, pinch-hit in the seventeenth inning. Casillas led off the inning with a base-knock to center field. Emalee Jansen re-entered the game following the base-hit. Jansen moved to second on a single from Stephanie Balmer. With one out, a passed ball allowed both runners to advance into scoring position. In a scoreless tie, the Spartans struck first with a perfect suicide squeeze from Cristina Clauberg. In a close play, Jansen made a sprint for home plate and beat the tag for the first run of the game. Balmer advanced to third base on the play. In the following at-bat, Corynn Miner helped the cause with a sacrifice fly to add an insurance run for UT. || UT 2, PBA 0
