Bio

After playing for the Spartans, Brittany Joseph returned to her alma mater as the assistant softball coach in the summer of 2019. In this position, she serves in her second season as the top assistant and oversees hitting and fielding along with daily office duties.

She is also a personal trainer at a barefoot studio in St. Petersburg called Best Day Fitness and Floats where she teaches people the importance of proper posture, barefoot training, gait analysis and balance. In that role, she works with people who have had traumatic brain injuries, strokes and others who want to improve their overall health and fitness.

Joseph previously served as the head coach for Boca Ciega High School in St. Petersburg from 2018-19, where she coached student-athletes on the game of softball and taught fundamentals and mechanics. She also provided and implemented a positive learning environment for all athletes.

She has also served as the associate head coach for Admiral Farragut Academy from 2012-17, and worked as the fitness instructor at summer camps. From 2012-16, she was the associate head coach for TeamFLA 18U Gold, assisting student-athletes with the recruiting process.

Among her accomplishments as a coach at the high school level was being part of two district championships, two regional runner-up finishes, one regional championship and one state final four appearance.

A 2012 graduate from the University of Tampa, Joseph earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science. She played for the Spartans in 2011, helping the Spartans to a 39-9 record. In that season, she led the team with 11 doubles while hitting .279 with a home run and 20 RBI. Helping UT to the NCAA Tournament, she was also a second-team All-Sunshine State Conference selection.

Prior to attending UT, Joseph was a three-year letterwinner at Florida State University. She was also a high school All-American second baseman and state champion for Sussex Technical High School in Delaware.
