Cavallaro Earns SSC Player of the week
MELBOURNE, Fla. - University of Tampa junior,
Juliana Cavallaro, is named SSC Women's Basketball Player of the
Week. The 5-9, Guard from Venice, Florida averaged 17 points and
seven rebounds over three games this week. Cavallaro was selected
SSC Player of the Week from a pool of nominees for her performance
during the week of November 24 - 30.
Cavallaro scored 16 points and pulled down eight rebounds in a
66-48 win against Warner (Fla.). During a 85-56 loss at Western
Washington, she totaled 10 points and six rebounds. Cavallaro then
scored 26 points and recorded seven rebounds in a 72-59 defeat of
St. Martin's (Wash). The 26 points tied a career high. She was
selected to the Lynda Goodrich Classic All-Tournament team.
Cavallaro finishes the week with 52 points, 22 rebounds, nine
assists, and three steals. She shot 53.3% from the floor (16-30),
28.6% from behind the arc (2-7), and 88.9% from the free throw line
(16-18).
