Tampa Plays to 12th Place Finish at Saint Leo Invite
Spartans compete at event that features seven SSC schools.
DADE CITY, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's golf team played against several nationally-ranked teams, finishing 12th overall at the Saint Leo Invitational.

UT Finish: 12th, 651 strokes (327-324)

• Jess Wild | 57th overall, 161
• Holly Cannon | 61st overall, 162
• Sydney Stengel | 63rd overall, 163
• Katelin Lawson | 69th overall, 165
• Kensi Olson | 77th overall, 178
OTHER NOTABLES:
• Sofia Cadavid was UT's top performer, as she played as an individual. The freshman finished with a 157, which put her in 46th place.
• Cadavid and Cannon shot the top round for Tampa, with each carding a 77 in Tuesday's round.
• Lauren Fantaroni also played for UT as an individual. The freshman shot a 174 overall.
• Wild finished as Tampa's top finisher in its lineup for the second time this season.
• Saint Leo's Vilde Eriksen was the medalist with a 138.
• A total of 13 teams competed.
• Tampa was among seven Sunshine State Conference schools, as provisional member Palm BEach Atlantic also competed.
• The SSC accounted for the top four teams, with Lynn, Florida Tech and Barry following team champion Saint Leo.
UP NEXT:
Tampa will wrap up its fall season on October 23-25 at the Flagler College Fall Slam. The tournament will be played at Marsh Creek Country Club in St. Augustine, Fla.
