Spring Season Underway as Spartans Play at WGI
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's golf team began its spring season with a fourth-place finish at the World Golf Invitational, improving by nine strokes in the second and final round.

OTHER NOTABLES:
- Riihijarvi, the top-ranked player in the nation, rebounded from an opening-round 75 with a 69 in Tuesday's round.
- The second-round 69 from Riihijarvi was the top individual round of the tournament for the Spartans.
- Head coach Missey Jones did not register any individuals.
- Freshman Petronella Hjort joined classmate Hallie Riley in the lineup.
- Nova Southeastern won the team title with a 591.
- Seher Atwal from Rollins was the individual medalist with a 140.
- Joining UT and team champion Nova Southeastern from the Sunshine State Conference was Rollins (2), Florida Southern (3), Lynn (6), Embry-Riddle (7) and Palm Beach Atlantic (18).
