Women's Golf Places Third in Season Opener
ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's golf team competed in the Seminole State College Fall Warm Up at Rio Pinar Country Club in Orlando, Florida, held on September 8-9. The team finished in a tie for 3rd place alongside Florida Southern, with a total score of 602, 26 over par on the Par 72, 6200 yards course.
Team Standings
In the team standings, Stetson emerged as the winner with a total score of 588 (+12), followed by Seminole State who finished second with a score of 600 (+24). Tampa tied for third place with Florida Southern, both recording a score of 602 (+26).
Tampa Performers
- Maria Mora and Kelly Shanahan both tied for 8th place with scores of 149, 5 over par.
- Mora shot rounds of 73 and 76, while Shanahan recorded rounds of 76 and 73.
- Justine Bayle tied for 13th place with a score of 150 (+6), showcasing an impressive sequence with two birdies and an eagle on holes 9, 10, and 11.
- Bayle's performance in the second round included a score of 73.

Alisa Brannock of Stetson secured second place with a score of 145 (+1), including an impressive -2 on the front nine in the second round.
