Cece Colombo Named an IWLCA All-American
NORTHBOROUGH, MA- The University of Tampa's Cece Colombo has earned All-American honors after her stellar performance during the 2021 season. The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) selected Colombo as a third-team honoree.
This is the first time Colombo has earned All-American honors and marks the third straight season that the women's lacrosse program has produced an All-American.
Cece Colombo, a midfielder from Waxhaw, North Carolina earned a spot on the first team after a season where she led the Spartans in points. Colombo would dish out a team-high 22 assists, as she was the only Spartan with double-digit assists. Along with the 22 assists, she would finish third on the team with 13 goals. Colombo would also finish tops on the team with 35 draw controls. She was also big on defense for UT, as she led the team with 17 caused turnovers.
