Game Summary
Tampa controlled the tempo throughout much of the match, generating 15 total shots—including five on target—to Florida Southern's six. Despite several promising opportunities, the Spartans were unable to find the back of the net against an organized Moccasin defense and goalkeeper Carly Brodsky, who recorded five saves.
The Spartans applied early pressure, earning three corner kicks in the opening 10 minutes. Ally Wold and Sydni Dennis were active in attack, combining for multiple attempts that forced Brodsky into key saves. Tampa continued to dictate play in the second half, as Lilly Nava's strike in the 49th minute nearly broke the deadlock.
Defensively, Tampa delivered another complete effort. The back line of Lauren Holschauer, Jess Brannon, Zoe Whiddon, and Kendall Gouner limited the Mocs to just three shots on goal. Goalkeeper Lia Doohan registered two saves and earned her third clean sheet of the season.
