NSU's Emma Sundstedt and UT's Hana van Loock highlight the All-SSC honorees repeating in 2019-20. Both Sundstedt and van Loock both received a third consecutive All-SSC First Team honor from conference coaches. Joining Sundstedt and van Loock as All-SSC First Team from last season is NSU's Sasha Maslova as well as Courtney Sherwood and Lisa Bazarova from Tampa. In total, 10 of the 18 swimmers listed repeat as All-SSC from last season.
Last year, Sundstedt and Maslova were named Swimmer of the Year and Freshman of the Year awards, while Sundstedt also earned Freshman of the Year honors in 2017-18. Sherwood was recently named the top female athlete at the 2020 SSC Championship and became the second Spartan to win the conference's Swimmer of the Meet honor. Six of nine SSC women's Swimmers of the Meet award winners have gone on to be named league Swimmer of the Year in the same season.
Coach of the Year, Swimmer of the Year, and Freshman of the Year will be voted on by league coaches following the NCAA Division II championship. This year's NCAA Championships will be held March 11 - 14 at the SPIRE Institute Aquatics Center in Geneva, Ohio. For a full list of SSC qualifiers, click here.
