Tampa Swimming Overpowers Rollins to Complete Perfect Weekend
WINTER PARK, Fla. — The top-ranked University of Tampa women's swimming team and the No. 2-ranked men's squad dominated Rollins College on Saturday (Oct. 18), sweeping the Tars in decisive fashion. The Spartans continued their early-season form, winning nearly every event inside Alfond Pool as both programs reaffirmed their national standing.
The Spartans claimed first place in each of the 14 women's events, and took 13-0f-14 in men's action.

Top Performers (Men)
- 200 Medley Relay: Rufus Bernhardt, River Streefland, William Beckstead-Holman, and Riccardo Pandin placed 1st in 1:28.31, with Tampa's "B" relay taking 2nd (1:31.28).
- 1,000 Freestyle: Jacob Hamlin finished 1st in 9:02.83, while Aidan Clements placed 3rd (9:52.30).
- 200 Freestyle: Nick Cavic placed 1st in 1:38.98, with Barnabas Fluck (3rd, 1:41.21) and Julian Ithier (5th, 1:42.86).
- 100 Backstroke: Bernhardt won 1st in 48.45, with Mathias Rike Holmann (2nd, 49.97) and Davis Adcock (3rd, 50.96) completing a Tampa sweep.
- 100 Breaststroke: Streefland took 1st in 55.25, followed by Brady Farren (2nd, 59.11) and Robert Alvarez (4th, 59.72).
- 200 Butterfly: Josh Noll placed 2nd in 1:51.43, narrowly behind Rollins' Luke Dinges, with Hudson Evans (3rd, 1:54.18) and Marcus Beckstead-Holman (4th, 1:55.73).
- 50 Freestyle: Alfredo Dominguez tied for 1st in 20.67, with Pandin (3rd, 20.83) and Tristan Bonnet-Eymard (4th, 21.29).
- 100 Freestyle: Dominguez earned another win, placing 1st in 44.86, followed by Hamlin (2nd, 45.64) and Streefland (3rd, 45.78).
- 200 Backstroke: Beckstead-Holman finished 1st in 1:47.01, with Fluck (2nd, 1:51.89) and Adcock (3rd, 1:52.21).
- 200 Breaststroke: Harper Johnson placed 1st in 2:08.11, ahead of Farren (2nd, 2:10.22) and Alvarez (3rd, 2:11.40).
- 500 Freestyle: Julian Ithier won 1st in 4:35.10, with Clements finishing 2nd (4:40.16) and Evans 4th (4:40.68).
- 100 Butterfly: Tristan Bonnet-Eymard took 1st in 49.71, edging Rollins' Luke Dinges by two-hundredths.
- 200 IM: Holmann placed 1st in 1:49.75, with Josh Noll 3rd (1:54.92) and Harper Johnson 5th (1:58.40).
- 200 Freestyle Relay: Bernhardt, Pandin, Dominguez, and Bonnet-Eymard sealed the meet with a 1st-place finish in 1:22.57, while Tampa's "B" squad took 2nd (1:22.98).

- 200 Freestyle: Carlie Tyler won the event in 1:53.82, with Riley Wagers (2nd, 1:54.33) and Alyssa Webb (4th, 1:56.71).
- 100 Backstroke: Kimberly McCaffrey placed 1st in 56.47, while Madalee Roberts (2nd, 1:00.02) and Julia Denes (3rd, 1:00.59) completed a Tampa sweep.
- 100 Breaststroke: Hannah-Claire Jowers earned 1st in 1:03.31, followed by Marissa DeMarco (4th, 1:06.59) and Julia Kiley (5th, 1:08.20).
- 200 Butterfly: Sofia Krstolic finished 1st in 2:04.53, with Cameron Dukat (3rd, 2:11.89).
- 50 Freestyle: Tilde Morin led a 1-2-3 Tampa finish with 1st in 23.96, followed by Sara Teague (2nd, 24.05) and Chloi Harper (3rd, 24.27).
- 100 Freestyle: Morin also claimed 1st in 52.32, with Teague (2nd, 53.09) and Harper (3rd, 53.10) again sweeping the podium.
- 200 Backstroke: McCaffrey placed 1st in 2:04.56, ahead of Denes (2nd, 2:10.28) and Wimberly (4th, 2:11.94).
- 200 Breaststroke: Jowers won 1st in 2:17.29, with DeMarco (4th, 2:27.25) and Kiley (5th, 2:29.37).
- 500 Freestyle: Alyssa Webb finished 1st in 5:05.80, followed by Wagers (2nd, 5:08.61) and Punnewaert (3rd, 5:19.30).
- 100 Butterfly: Krstolic earned another 1st in 56.71, with Burlingtyn Bokos (2nd, 56.86) and Madalee Roberts (3rd, 57.87) rounding out another Tampa sweep.
- 200 IM: Tyler claimed 1st in 2:07.31, followed by McCaffrey (2nd, 2:11.58) and Dukat (3rd, 2:12.17).
- 200 Freestyle Relay: Morin, Teague, Wagers, and Harper placed 1st in 1:35.62, with Tampa's "B" relay (2nd, 1:38.42).
