Tampa Tennis Quickly Defeats West Chester
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa tennis team won its fourth match in a row in a compelling victory over the Rams of West Chester University.

The Spartans dominated doubles-play with each doubles pairing winning their one-set match in approximately thirty minutes of play.

Tampa's top doubles duo of Ekaterina Grib and Savannah Williams won over WCU's Alyssa Skulsky and Davica Massaro 6-0. In ten doubles matches, Grib and Williams now have a combined record of 7-3.

Corbin Dorsey and Tatiana Harrelson improved to 4-0 as a team, defeating Julia Mowrey and Shannon Nixon 6-2.

Tatiana Harrelson's day ended early after her opponent, Elaina Lee, retired due to injury tied 2-2 in the first set.

Grib did not lose a game all afternoon as she beat Leandra Roekler in singles 6-0, 6-0.

Corbin Dorsey's 6-2, 6-4 singles three victory sealed the victory for the Spartans giving UT a 4-0 lead at the time of her win.

Including today's match the Spartans are a combined 20-1 in all matches during the month of March (three doubles matches counting as one match).

The total match duration was two hours and thirty minutes.
Up Next: The Spartans head to the Van de Meer Tennis Center in Hilton Head, SC for the Spring Tennis Fest. Tampa will play three matches, one each on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Up first for UT is Michigan Tech, Thursday at 12 p.m. This is the first-ever match between the two programs. So far this season MT has a 9-5 overall record (7-2 in GLIAC play). The Huskies have lost three of their last four matches.
