Tampa Tennis Defeats Florida Southern to Conclude Regular Season
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa tennis team notched its second straight 4-3 victory, topping Florida Southern College in its regular-season finale.

Series History: Florida Southern now holds a 54-5 lead in the all-time series. The Mocs previously won 28 straight over the Spartans, as this is the first UT win over FSC since 2003.
How it happened:
- Florida Southern captured the number one and two doubles events to earn the point.
- Tampa took four of six in singles play to clinch the match.
- The Spartans won at one, three, four and six in singles.
- The clinching match was won by Maria Khomchenko at the top spot as she took down a nationally-ranked opponent in straight sets.
- Dakota Busch's victory at number six was a blanking of her opponent, 6-0, 6-0.
