Tampa Moves Up to No. 22 in Latest AVCA Poll
The Spartans improve one spot after picking up a pair of SSC wins at home.
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Tampa volleyball team moves up one spot in the latest release of the American Volleyball Coaches Association coaches poll. The 19-6 Spartans sit No. 22 in Division II after a pair of wins over Florida Southern and Florida Tech.
The top-10 teams in the poll remain unchanged from last week's release as Concordia, St. Paul holds the No. 1 spot. Minnesota-Duluth and Nebraska-Kearney continue as No. 2 and No. 3, respectively while Southwest Minn. State and Wheeling Jesuit hold onto the No. 4 and No. 5 spots. The Northern Sun Athletic Conference has six teams in the top-10 while adding another in the ranking as Northern State sits No. 20.
Tampa is one of two teams ranked in the region, as Palm Beach Atlantic continues as the No. 12 team in the nation. Sunshine State Conference foes Florida Southern and Saint Leo are both receiving votes in the latest poll while regional opponent North Alabama is next in line as receiving votes.
UT continues its active program record by remaining ranked in the AVCA coaches poll for 280 consecutive polling periods. The program record is second in Division II, as Central Missouri maintains active with a No. 16 ranking.

Tampa will host its final home game of the season, welcoming Barry University for a Wednesday night make up contest.
