Tampa Volleyball Volunteers With Feeding Tampa Bay
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa volleyball team spent Saturday morning at a Feeding Tampa Bay event, participating in a local community engagement event.
The Spartans volunteered for the Hillsborough Mega Pantry at Hillsborough Community College from 7:30 to 10 a.m. The UT student-athletes directed traffic and loaded prepared meals into cars as they pulled up.
The event delivers 3,500 meals every Saturday. Head coach Chris Catanach was in attendance with 11 players plus a student assistant. The Spartans will also attend the event next Saturday.
"Feeding Tampa Bay is a tremendous organization, and our players and coaches were honored to help deliver meals to our neighbors in the Tampa Bay Area," says Catanach.
