HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Set: Once again, the Spartans started the match strong, scoring six of the first eight points. A kill from Tess Schrenger, set up by Kayla Dondero, got Tampa out to an early 1-0 lead. Kills by Nathaly Perez and Connor Rahn extended UTampa's lead to 4-1. Menlo would fight back to make it 7-5, which would be the closest they came in the set. A Mak Carter kill ignited an 11-point Spartan run, eventually leading to a first-set victory. | Score: 25-18 Tampa
Second Set: A Dondero assist to Perez would put Tampa out to a 3-1 advantage. After losing the next two points, Tampa would go on a run of its own. A Jenna Glaudel service ace brought Tampa to an 8-4 lead. Schrenger added a kill later for a 16-9 lead after an assist from Ana Rivera. Maddie Sofarelli recorded a kill to extend the lead to six, making it 19-12. Tampa would cruise to a 25-18 victory, needing just one more set. | Score 25-18 Tampa
Third Set: Tampa jumped out to a 5-2 lead, but Menlo would keep it close later, trailing by just one, 9-8. That's when the Spartans took control and won eight consecutive points to take the match out of reach. | Score: 25-15 Tampa
