Tampa Closes Out Alumni Weekend With a Sweep Over Rollins
TAMPA, Fla. - Tampa sweeps Rollins to top off a perfect weekend at the Bob Martinez Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Set: A monster kill by Jenna Davis put the Spartans up 5-3. Later, Rachel Gregg added a kill to increase the Tampa lead to 12-6. Rollins would look to make a comeback, but a service ace by senior Nathaly Perez would make it 15-3 in favor of the Spartans. Laney Perdue recorded another Spartan ace to make the score 22-14, and Tampa would never look back. The Spartans would go on to take the first set. | Score: 25-15 Tampa
Second Set: A quick start by the Spartans made it 2-0. A block by Perez and Gregg advanced Tampa's advantage to 16-9. Connor Rahn recorded her first service ace to make it 22-12. With a sizeable lead, the Spartans would finish off the set to head into the third up two. | Score 25-12 Tampa
Third Set: Utampa started off the third set with another 2-0 lead. Despite trailing early on Rollins would go on a 7-0 scoring run, forcing Tampa to call a timeout. The Spartans would slowly grab momentum and get back into the match. A kill by Tess Schrenger tied the match up at 10 all. The next several points would go back and forth between the two teams. Tampa grabbed a 21-17 lead after an attacking error by Rollins. Mak Carter tallied a kill to make it 22-18. Tampa would go on to close out the match, winning the set, 25-18. | Score: 25-18 Tampa
