HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Set: Set one was full of back and forth play as despite Tampa never trailing in the set. Always able to keep their nose in front, Tampa arrived at a 21-20 lead without having led by more more than two points for the entire set. The Spartans would score four consecutive points to close out the set with a big block by Jenna Davis and Mak Carter putting on the finishing touch. | Score: 25-20 Tampa
Second Set: Tampa used the momentum from the end of the first set and quickly built a 6-3 lead. With the score at 15-12, Tampa would win six of the next seven points to grab a 21-13 lead with four of those points being kills by Rachel Gregg. The Spartans didn't look back and would close out the second set soon after to take a 2-0 lead in the match. | Score 25-19 Tampa
Third Set: After dropping four of the first six points, Tampa would go on a run that saw them take nine of the next 10 points driven by Jenna Davis' three blocks. With the score at 12-7, Tampa would go on another run to build their third set lead to 20-10. Tampa would soon close out the third set and the match. | Score 25-14 Tampa
