Zoe Jarvis Wins Valdosta State Invite to Lead Spartans
VALDOSTA, Ga. – The University of Tampa women's cross country team posted an impressive start to the 2021 campaign with a second-place finish at the annual Valdosta State Border Clash, led by a first-place finish by senior Zoe Jarvis.

OTHER NOTABLES:
- Jarvis won her fifth career race as a Spartan.
- This is the second time Jarvis has championed the Valdosta State Border Clash, as she also finished first in 2018.
- The Spartans joined team champion Flagler with five individuals in the top-10.
- A pair of Spartan freshmen also finished in the top-20, with Tabitha Suggs and Laura McGregor placing 15th and 17th respectively.
- A total of 10 teams competed.
- Head coach Jarrett Slaven had 13 runners compete in the race.
- Florida Southern at Tampa were the lone Sunshine State Conference schools at the Border Clash as the Mocs followed UT at third overall.
UP NEXT:
The Spartans head to Gainesville on Saturday, September 11 for the Mountain Dew Invitational. The University of Florida will host the annual event at Mark Bostic Golf Course.
