Lexie Chevalier Presented With SSC Player of the Week Award
MELBOURNE, Fla. - University of Tampa softball standout Lexie Chevalier was recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week for her performances in a three-game sweep at Eckerd College over the weekend.
Chevalier is awarded Player of the Week for her play in Tampa's sweep of Eckerd. The junior from Valrico, Florida, was 4-for-7 at the plate with three runs batted in, two runs scored, two home runs, and a walk. The first of the three-game set was her best as she went 2-for-3 with two RBI, a run scored, and a home run. For the week, Chevalier produced a .571 batting average, a .625 on-base percentage, and a 1.429 slugging percentage. Defensively, the catcher registered 16 putouts and an assist in 17 chances.
Sunshine State Conference Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of April 10 - 16, 2023. Athletic Communication Directors of member institutions nominate athletes.
