Laila Forstmane Leads Spartans in Field Featuring 13 Ranked Teams
LAKELAND, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's golf team was back in action at the Lady Moc Golf Classic, finishing sixth overall in a field that featured 13 nationally-ranked teams.

- Laila Forstmane | 9th overall, 218 (+2)
- Ana Maria Jimenez Rios | 17th overall, 222 (+6)
- Emily Montagnino | 32nd overall, 226 (+10)
- Ella Mason | 64th overall, 234 (+4)
- Emilie Bjørge | 85th overall, 240 (+24)
OTHER NOTABLES:
- Forstmane led the Spartans for the third time this season. She was also the Spartans' top golfer at the DBU Women's Classic and the Rollins Legends Invitational.
- A third-round 70 by Forstmane was the top individual round for UT.
- Tampa also had a pair of individuals, led by Maxime Holletschek. She finished 24th overall with a 223. Chloe Burdon (235) also represented the red, black and gold.
- A total of 18 teams competed.
- Lynn's Maria Hoyos was the individual medalist, finishing with a 206.
- Joining Tampa, team champion Lynn and host Florida Southern (4) from the Sunshine State Conference were Nova Southeastern (2), Rollins (5), Barry (9), Saint Leo (11), Eckerd (12), Palm Beach Atlantic (13) and Embry-Riddle (16).
- The tournament featured 13 nationally-ranked teams. No. 8 Tampa was joined by fellow top-10 opponents No. 2 Lynn and No. 4 Nova Southeastern. The Spartans finished ahead of seven schools from the top-30.
- Several nationally-ranked players competed, including No. 16 Jimenez Rios, No. 39 Forstmane and No. 57 Montagnino.
