UT Earns Fifth Straight Top 25 Ranking to Conclude Season
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's soccer team earned a 25th-place ranking in the final top-25 poll by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). The ranking is the fifth consecutive appearance for UT in the final NSCAA poll.
Tampa finished the 2008 season with a 13-7-2 record as the Spartan lineup included five freshman starters. UT spent a total of eight weeks in the national top 25 while advancing to the NCAA South Region semifinals.
The 2008 season included a top-tier schedule where Tampa was pitted against 12 top-25 opponents, including five who spent time in the national top-10.
