Spartans Prepare For Final Home Game Against Saint Leo
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's soccer team (6-10-1, 2-5 SSC) hosts Saint Leo University (7-4-1, 4-3 SSC) Wednesday night at 7 pm at Pepin Stadium in its last home game of the season. Securing a win could potentially place the Spartans in the running to make the Sunshine State Conference tournament.
The last time the two met the Spartans defeated the Lions in double overtime with a final score of 3-2. Tampa is currently led by Sophomore Jazmin Perry who has eight goals on the season while Megan Tobin and Samantha Kay each lead the Spartans with four assists. The Lions are led by Sophomore Hannah Beard who leads the team with 12 goals.
Saige Steinmetz and Renata Figueira will be recognized for the Spartans playing in their last regular season game in a Spartan uniform.
