TAMPA, Fla.-The University of Tampa (11-3-2, 5-1-1 SSC) women's soccer team tied Nova Southeastern University (4-5-3, 3-3-2 SSC) on Tuesday night at Pepin Stadium.
The Spartans recorded two shots on goal in the first half. Despite their hard fought effort to get on the board the period ended with no score.
The second half resumed with intense play yet no score resulted. The Spartan's ten shots to the Shark's four in the half were unfinished by both teams.
Overtime play was dominated by the Spartans with eight shots to the Shark's zero. After 110 minutes of play, the game ended scoreless but with a total of 26 shots by the Spartans and seven by the Sharks.
The University of Tampa Spartans will face the Florida Southern Moccasins on Saturday, Oct. 20 in Lakeland, Fla, for an SSC matchup.
