No. 26 Tampa Takes First Loss at No. 13 Rollins
WINTER PARK, Fla. - The No. 26 University of Tampa (5-1, 2-1 SSC) tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision to No. 13 Rollins College (3-2, 2-2 SSC) on Wednesday afternoon.
Tampa claimed two of the three doubles matches with both the number-one team of Lauren Hewett and Meg Wladimirski and the two team of Lindsay Nochowicz and Kelsey Matthews each winning.
Thashia Garcia played to a 6-4, 6-1 victory at the number-one singles match for Tampa as Hewett won 6-4, 6-3 at the three spot.
Tampa's next test will be a Saturday contest at SSC opponent and No. 4 Lynn University. The match is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
