Weekly Preview: Spartans Upcoming Spring Break Matchups
WEEK 4

Tampa come off a victory Sunday, Feb 26th against Embry-Riddle.
SSC Teams with National Rankings: No. 16 Tampa
Tampa Spartan's Women's Tennis: (3-2, 3-1 SSC), 4th in the SSC
Tampa
- Currently on a three-match winning streak as well as a canceled exhibition, No. 16 Tampa look forward to this Spring Break, having Ferris State up first in what will be their first match since, February 26th against Embry-Riddle. Their last victory against Embry-Riddle concluded a two-match roadtrip which elevated the Spartans SSC ranking from No. 5 to No. 4. Part of this alludes to the contribution from earning a doubles point, while dominating the majority of the singles matches. The Spartans are 3-0 when winning doubles so far this season.
Ferris State
- Coming of a 5-1 victory against Walsh University, Ferris State looks to seek a win against No. 16 Tampa. In the match against Walsh, the Bulldogs conceded to a doubles match, but ultimatley the remaining to earn the first point. They proceeded to win four straight singles matches to secure the victory. The last two singles matches resulted in a Walsh victory and a forfeited match. The Bulldogs currently reign 6-1 on the season, 4-2 in their last six matches having not played any conference games as of yet.
Winona State
- With an impressive 4-1 start to their season having still remaining undefeated in their conference (3-0), Winona State head into Spring Break on fire. Three out of their four victories the Warriors having swept each opponent (7-0). They've also only conceded one double's point in all of their matches so far, which was against Northern Illinois University-- the only team to defeat Winona State so far. Heading into this week, the Warriors will face great competition with Seton Hill University on Monday, March 6th & No. 16 University of Tampa on Wednesday, March 8th.
Sioux Fall
- With an even 2-2 record so far in the Spring season, the Sioux Fall Cougars looks to increase their overall record to above .500 after Spring Break concludes. In their last match against Southwest Minnesota State University, the Cougars inched past with 4-3 victory. Sioux Fall will face Concordia University (Minn.) Monday, March 6th, Seton Hill University Tuesday, March 7th, & Misericordia University Saturday, March 10th.
