Vince Naimoli To Sign His Autobiography, Business, Baseball & Beyond
TAMPA, Fla. - Vince Naimoli, namesake of UT's Naimoli Institute for Business Strategy and chairman emeritus and founder of the Tampa Bay Rays, will sign copies of his new autobiography at The University of Tampa campus bookstore on Wednesday, Dec. 16, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The UT bookstore is located on the first floor of the Vaughn Center on the UT campus.
Naimoli's book, Business, Baseball & Beyond, tells the story of the sometimes controversial, always straightforward founder of the Tampa Bay Rays, the 2008 American League Champions. It traces Naimoli's roots from a poor working-class New Jersey neighborhood to the creation of a Fortune 500 business to the high stakes world of professional sports. The 9x9, 156-page, full-color coffee table book retails for $24.99.
Naimoli, who served as chairman/president/CEO of Anchor Industries International and Naimoli Business Corp., is also a chairman emeritus of the UT Board of Trustees. In 2005 he received the Champion of Higher Independent Education in Florida award.
Naimoli is donating 500 copies of his book to UT, and the proceeds will be used to support the UT general scholarship fund and UT athletics.
Business, Baseball & Beyond, which was published by StarGroup International, includes a preface by Gov. Charlie Crist. For more information, see www.vincenaimoli.com.
