Bio

Ulf Lilius played soccer for UT from 1992-94 as the native of Malmo, Sweden, led the Spartans to the 1994 NCAA Division II national championship. He was also named the national championship tournament MVP accolade. Lilius started all 52 games of his three-year career at UT, scoring 13 goals and dishing out 28 assists to rank third in Spartan history. His was awarded first team All-American honors in 1994 and was a second team All-American in 1992. The midfielder was also named to the all-region and all-SSC teams each year from 1992-94. Lilius was recognized as the best in his sport in 1994 when he was given the distinction of SSC Player of the Year. Lilius was also a member of the 1991 World Cup and 1987 Scandinavian Cup title teams in Sweden. He started in 29 matches for Sweden’s under-21 national team, including the 1988 and 1990 European Championships.
