UT Announces Updated JV Baseball Tryout Date

TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa baseball program will host an open tryout for its junior varsity program. This tryout is open for currently enrolled full-time fall 2016 students on Friday, September 9 at 4 p.m.

This will be the only tryout date offered for UT students in the Fall and Spring semesters. The tryout will be held at the UT Baseball Field, which is located on campus at the intersection of North Blvd., and Cass Street.

All new and returning JV players  must sign up at the UT baseball office, and fill out the necessary paperwork to be eligible to try out.

All students need to have a copy of their UT Spartan Card and they MUST have a copy of a physical dated within 6 months of the tryout date. (Physical must be in the time frame of March 2-September 2, 2016 - if it is not in this time frame, you will not be permitted to tryout due to NCAA rules). Students will also need to sign a sickle cell waiver and assumption of risk form.

Without proof of a 2016 Fall semester UT Spartan Card, copy of physical taken within 6 months of the tryout and completed sickle cell waiver and assumption of risk forms - you cannot participate in the tryout.

Players need to bring proper equipment and arrive at the field around 3:45 p.m. Reminder, this is the only tryout date for the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 semesters and is for full-time Fall 2016 semester UT students only.
