Rashad Callaway Nets NABC First-Team All-South Region Honors
CARROLLTON, Ga. - University of Tampa men's basketball player Rashad Callaway has earned a spot on the 2009-10 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-South Region team.
Callaway was among the 11 individuals to earn all-South region honors as he was also a first-team selection by Daktronics.
Callaway, a junior guard from Bayonne, N.J., was also a first-team all-Sunshine State Conference performer after being named second-team all-region as a junior. He led the Spartans while averaging 21.1 points per game. His 167 assists, 64 steals and .816 free throw percentage was also first among all Spartans.
All five first team members will join their counterparts from the nation's other seven regions on the national ballot for consideration on the 2009-10 NABC Men's Basketball All-America team.
