Spartans Set to Host Conference Rival Eckerd Tritons
The University of Tampa men's and women's basketball teams will host conference foe Eckerd College Tritons on Wednesday starting at 5:30 pm.
TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's and women's basketball teams will host the Eckerd College Tritons on Wednesday February 8th. The women will compete at 5:30 pm and the men will have their matchup at 7:30 pm.

Last Time Out (Women's): The Spartans traveled to Daytona Beach where they took on the Embry-Riddle Eagles. The Eagles jumped out to an early lead on the Spartans and never looked back as they maintained the lead throughout the entire game. Senior Elena de Alfredo led the Spartans offense as she recorded 10 points and five rebounds.
Last Time Out (Men's): The Spartans took on Embry-Riddle and put up a tough battle but ended up falling to the Eagles 82-75. Senior Austin Rettig was the leading point scorer with 23. Junior Marcel Robinson was the next leading point scorer with 17 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore Freddy Ibrahim tallied his first double-double of his career with 10 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.
