Spartans Finish Fourth at SSC Championships
Chad Bouchard led the way to a fourth place finish for Tampa.
VIERA, Fla. - The University of Tampa golf team played to a fourth place finish among nine teams to conclude the season at the 2007 Sunshine State Conference men's golf championships. The event, which was hosted by Florida Tech at Duran Golf Club, was won by Nova Southeastern University .
After shooting a 307 in round one, the Spartans posted an impressive 297 in the second round to take hold of second place heading into Tuesday's final round. A 306 in the third round gave UT a 910, or +46, to complete the tournament.
Chad Bouchard was Tampa's top golfer, finishing with a 229 for an 11th place tie. Brian Alberico, who tied for 17th, registered Tampa's top round of the tournament with a 70 in the second round en route to a 231. Nick Clark also shot a 231 for the Spartans.
UT's lineup was rounded out by Jon-Michael Socaris and Ryan Barnett, who shot 232 and 233 respectively. Socaris placed in a 21st place tie while Barnett came in 23rd overall.
